Somehow, amidst algebra woes and editing and minion herding, Balticon 45 has snuck up on me! After a flurry of activity and scrambling yesterday, the thing that I was hoping would happen, is actually happening!
I will be presenting the opening chapters of ANTIGONE’S WRATH as a FULL CAST live reading at Balticon!

I’m such a spaz. In catching up on all the things I’ve forgotten to update, I realized I never posted about my cover art project for Antigone’s Wrath. In fact, I may have forgotten to mention it altogether on this site. So, I am remedying that now.
In a fit of impulse, I did the thing I swore I was not going to do until edits for Antigone’s Wrath were complete.
I started its sequel.
THE END.
Is there anything as beautiful as typing THE END after a year and a half long battle with a novel?
Newborn babies and stuff aside, there’s no feeling in the world like being able to tack on those two little words to a massive project. It’s elation, fulfillment, sadness, and empowerment all rolled up into a little ball of OMGWTFBBQ AWESOME. No matter how many times you earn the right to write it, it will never cease to feel good.
So, it is with that preface that I announce to you all that as of midnight, March 17th (Happy St. Patty’s Day, BTW), ANTIGONE’S WRATH IS IN POSSESSION OF A “THE END” OF ITS OWN.
Sometimes, it’s just impossible to find a quiet place to write. In those situations, I break out the headphones and put on my “Writing Music” playlist in iTunes. As a musician-on-the-side, I find it incredibly distracting to listen to anything with lyrics, so I choose instrumental pieces for my can’t-get-quiet times. I thought perhaps I’d share the albums in my playlist so you can see where I’m drawing inspiration from as I write Antigone’s Wrath. [Read more…]
Apparently I spaced and forgot to announce a fairly momentous occassion last month. I was so busy with finals for school and family stuff over the holidays that my own news just flew out the window. I SQUEE’d like crazy all over Twitter about it, but I didn’t put it HERE. You know, this being the blog for news and update stuff.

It’s now been a week since the final episode of The Dreamer’s Thread dropped. The response has been overwhelming for me, to be honest. I’ve received several reports of tears, but I have been assured they were all the good kind. If you haven’t heard the final episode yet, I’ll not spoil it for you, so no worries. It’s strange for me that other people grew so attached to the characters I’ve spent the last two years with. However, I am very glad I’ve gotten to share them with all of you.
